60” x 48” X 1.5″ Paper on Canvas
This was the first in the series of Paste-Up Paintings. Using a high-resolution scan of one of my paintings, I digitally sliced and diced it into ninety individual panels, each requiring further manipulation on the computer. There was much experimentation and testing of papers and printing methods. This particular Banana Lokta paper required multiple test prints to adjust the colors. Then it took a while to hone the process of cutting, placing and attaching fragments of paper to the canvas. Pleased with the final result, I knew I had discovered a unique form of expression that would serve me well.
