You might say I’m just a regular guy but I do prefer irregular patterns as this painting shows. The black net pattern of the background is completely random and never repeats. None of the sets of stripes or bars are equidistant, parallel or the same length. Why? I don’t know. It’s just a thing I do. People often ask an artist, “What does this picture mean?” I like the answer given by famous abstract artist Frank Stella. He said, “What you see is [sic] what you see.” Do you see what I see? You may see something different. Does this painting makes you feel good, curious, inspired, whatever? Then we must be kindred spirits both on the same wavelength. So just buy this painting and I’ll bring it over and we’ll have tea!
